FAQ

CSA is short for Community Supported Agriculture, a concept started in the United States in the 1980s.  It is a system that creates a direct connection between those growing food and those consuming it by allowing community members to subscribe to the harvest of a farm or group of farms.

By subscribing to CSA La Abundancia, you are part of a community of individuals who support the movement to rebuild Puerto Rico in a more sustainable way

Will the produce I receive be the same year round?

Though Puerto Rico is a tropical climate year round, there are growing seasons here.

whats in my box

Can I visit the farm?

What happens if I need to skip a week?

If you’d like to skip a week because of vacation or other reasons, just let us know and you can get a double share the following week for no charge. Any changes in delivery need to be communicated 48 hours in advance.

What if I do not know how to use (or even recognize) the products in my box?

Not to worry! Each week members receive an email newsletter to help acquaint you with the produce and its culinary possibilities. We are always available by phone or email, (and yes, in person, too) to answer questions about what’s in your box and what to do with it. We love talking about our produce and how to make it family friendly and delicious!

How often do I receive my crate?

Crates will be available at the pick-up location on a weekly basis!

Where will I pick it up?

Pick-up will be at El Mercado Libre in Santurce on Saturdays from 8am-1pm

How do I sign up?

You can join our CSA by completing our enrollment form and processing your payment on our sign-up page.

Do you do home delivery?

At this time we do not do home delivery. However, for groups or corporations purchasing more than 10 crates per week, a drop-off can be organized.

Do you offer subscriptions for corporations?
